i got my first fm3 at the Mexican Embassy in Ottawa, where I was told that i did not have to re-register when I got to my home in Mexico. Wrong. the fine was 1000 pesos per month, but they charged me the minimum--one month´s fine. and wouldn´t take a tip. Next time i re-registered late--here--they threw the book at me. I have moved three time in Mexico, three different states and each was different. It all depends on how they interpret the regulations. The Manzanillo office is the most inefficient. good luck |
