when I was growing up in la manzanilla in the summer there was a death baby at least once a month most of them by "alacranes" and it was noticeable because people where asking for flowers to the neighbors, they use to cover the Little body with flowers and dressem like angels,it was sad and a the same time beautiful but really sad, and next day at mid day was the funeral, a parade in the beach the smell was so peculiar and I still remember it, like the weeds that grow on the beach bank between the ocean and the Laguna, the whole town in parade to the panteon with flowers and singing preying and the crying for the souls of the little ones.
