little pice of me

After school I use to go to the top of the cerro where the acienda was and look down, somehow saying good bye to the village, looking at the horizon and wonder what it was beyond the ocean, the other side of the world and dream about it,with out feeling a little sad because I knew that living la manzanilla ounce nothing will be the same. |
In a way I felt like that because for some reason my friends and family always treat me differently.
Maybe because my way of thinking was radical like asking to many questions about freedom and democracy and why the garbage in the streets and corruption in every level of the government, why so much power to the catholic church.
In my journey to the us I was humiliate beat up and rob by the police and mexican army, twenty five years ago.
One of my dreams was to go to Alaska and walk on ice on the Bering stretch and when I got there,I got of the boat sat on a chunk of ice and I though about those days when I use to go on the top of the cerro sitting in a rock by the acienda ruins looking down to the village where I grow up.
Got bless the u.s.a.
