Yes they work, at least AT&T. Don't use a smart phone though, the roaming charges are extreme. I came down for 2 weeks with my iPhone and when I got back I had a $1375 bill to deal with. I complained to AT&T and they said since I didn't know, they would reduce my bill to $0.00....great. Later I got my bill for $1250.00 so I called to see what was up and was told that their bill was zero, but Telcel's bill was $1250.00 and I had to pay. So, turn off "Data roaming" and forget using it for email unless you have wireless. Texting and calls are expensive. Its cheaper to buy a Telcel phone and pay as you go and throw it in the garbage when you leave! I heard of a man that brought his computer to Cabo and using a 3G card, downloaded a movie for his kids. The bill was $15,000.00 dollars! |
