Thanks for you limited info...I'm interested in the success or failure of small efforts to get the plastic off the beach, the road, etc. and I'm writing another story for the Guad Reporter about the current state of affairs, hopefully with a bit of humor. As an aside, forty years ago I `was involved with many tons of carefully sorted glass that was very difficult to send on it's way...p[robably to cullet in a large factory. Later, I was involved teaching studio glass artists in the processing and use of recycled glass in 'funded' projects...bottom line was, most glass got used like it's source (sand). I drove behind a giant Coke truck into Arroyo Seco yesterday and passed one of the new mesh bags for plastic that was overflowing...and thought that the Coke truck goes there every week at least once, with enough left behind to refill that container. ...emerging design?? |
