Jon, I disagree with you here. Let's say that you entered Mexico and paid the Banjercito for an import visa for 6 months (I've done this for 3 years now!) and you leave Mexico in 25 days after entry and you still have your 6 month decal on your windshield and still carry your 6 month tourist visa. You just keep these papers, drive right past the "remove decal sticker station" and cross back into the USA. Then a month later you reenter Mexico with your auto and tourist visa...you still have almost 4 months left before you must exit Mexico and have the banjercito remove the decal and take your file out of the computer system, other than making sure you leave Mexico and turn in all papers to Mexico immigration before the expiration date on your papers...they really don't seem to care, nor is there any way to really prove that you left Mexico and returned.
