Be SURE that your AT&T iPhone is in "Airplane mode" first, before turning doing anything. Then go into WiFi and turn it on with out turning on the phone. Then it works like any wireless device.

Reason: I had my iphone on for a week, using it without problems and getting email and having no problems at all...got my bill in the states and had a 1375.00 dollar bill! Called AT&T and they said they would make their bill 0.00 because I didn't understand my international traveling plan! cool! Got the new bill and it was for 1250.00 dollars, called back and they said their bill was zero, its the Telcel part I had to pay!!! I payed.

In a nutshell, don't use any kind of smart phone in mexico unless you bought it in mexico!
