That was really interesting - I looked up the
info on the 1959 storm (had never heard about that
one before) on Unisys:

and see that it came ashore as a Cat. 5 storm,
very close to La Manzanilla - our coordinates are 19.16N/ 104.4W.

A cautionary tale for all of us, coupled with Mokita's memory of the storm that did so much damage here in 1971.
