Leti is a good friend of mine. As you can imagine, she is distraught. She was at her home last night where many people from the town came to share in her grief w. her. Today the townspeople gathered by the hundreds outside and inside the Ejido to again share in her grief. She was supported there by her brother, parents, sister, and many close friends. Her other daughter, Mildred, of 7 is there, also. Friends of her daughter are there. The body arrived and her friends from school take turns standing at the 4 corners of the coffin in honor of their friend. Such a community. We have so much to learn from this manner of facing death. This vigil will continue all day. A Catholic prayer time occurs. Ouytside, seated on many chairs are hundreds of townspeople lending their support to Leti. They will remain all day and into the evening. The body will be interred later today. Please lend her your support in person or spiritually, if you aren't able to be there. I will tell you at a later time, what all this wonderful lady has meant to me. Right now, I can't.
