LCEF volunteer looking for house-sitting position

Hello hello all,

I'll be taking on a two-month volunteer grantwriting position at La Catalina Educational Foundation, and it was recommended that I seek out a house-sitting type position to help me with the costs. And, well, as it's only a two-month contract position, just seems to make more sense for me. My girlfriend will also be giving some time to La Catalina, and would be living with me.

A little about me: I grew up in California, but lived in Brooklyn for roughly the last 6 years, working primarily for educational/public health nonprofits . . . and traveling as much as possible during that stint. I last worked at NYU helping faculty members find funding for research projects. Aaaanyway, I'd sort of had enough of New York City, and had been thinking about Mexico for a long time.

So here I am. The lady and myself are traveling around Chiapas right now, and slowly making our way back up to La Manzanilla (I was there for about 10 days in the middle of August). We plan on getting there in the beginning of October . . . and of course, much of this is liable to change, depending on what kind of housing situations arise. On that note, I'm completely flexible in regards to the details of the house-sitting position. And both my girlfriend and I can supply references (aside from Dean, Julie and Victor at La Catalina.)

Email is the best way to get a hold of me, and pass on any questions you might have. Hope to hear from somebody soon.

Thanks,
Damon Fournier
