Duane, Isaura (the lady who has organized our La Manzanilla kindergarten effort) has told me that our kindergarten's first priority and greatest need is childrens' toys, including puzzles with large pieces to assemble, colorful games, childrens' music CDs, small musical instruments (like drums, cassinets, tamborines, etc.), a whiteboard, paint, and crayons. They also need pages they can photocopy with interesting designs and shapes for children to color or paint. They prefer that the teaching materials are in Spanish, if possible. Unfortunately, the school has no computer, no internet services, no printer, and no telephone, so teaching materials are very difficult for them to come by. If you would like me to translate, I would be happy to do so through email, until we arrive in La Manzanilla in December -- after which I could do it in person.
