| If you have 220 V going to your house, some of the sockets will be wired off one leg of the 220 (110) and others off the other leg. If you have a 220 V pump, you want to turn it off until you get your full 220 back. This is OK for 110 appliances but will fry a 220 V appliance like a pump. |
