I was stopped up here in Ajijic one Sunday morning. I was in the wrong, nothing serious. But this policeman asked me for my car inport paper, pointed to a section in a booklet he was carrying, and threatened to make me follow him to Chapala and have my car impounded. He settled for mordita!! In the Guad. Reporter this week there's an article telling us to tell the policeman just give you a ticket, not to pay mordita. Many US plated cars being stopped up here lately.
