What a great story and you are right Jon, you can drive an foreign platet car with your FM 2 for 5 years.
My story is very different. After a false right turn the American policeman has been very hostile and throw the Mexican drivers licence back at me and told me it is not valid in the States which is total bull...
Than he sat over 1/2 hr in his car and let me wait. Finally I got a fine of US 160.-- and he let me go. Very very hostile and threatening.
I never experienced anything like this in Mexico.295639
