| I'll be a first-time visitor in LM this December. Have traveled a lot in other parts of Mexico and observed the standard advice to avoid ordering fresh fruits and vegetables in restaurants unless you can peel them yourself. However, I've noticed that many of the recommended restaurants in LM offer fresh foods (eg salads) that would seem to violate this rule. Based on your personal gastrointestinal experience, are these dishes safe to order? And if you're preparing fresh fruits or vegetables at home, what is the recommended "wash" for disinfecting them? Does it work, and where do you buy it? Thanks for any and all advice. |
