We just completed the trip from Vancouver via Tucson. Stayed at Nogales, Ariz. The next stop was Navojoa, stayed at Best Western at north end of town. Next was Tepic, Zar hotel on the highway to Guad. We made the mistake of going thru PV--the road is bad and very busy. May be a better choice to drive further and pay the toll thru Guadalajara rather than PV. After crossing the border, must go to offices for visa, insur., and car docum'ns at km 258, well marked, finally.
