I think I was seven years old when my brothers took me to the laguna in a canoa trip for the first time, to see the macacos and all the birds and snackes,at that time the crocodiles where in a different part of the lagoon isolated.
It was like wonderland for me at the same time scary, there was a tree right in the middle full of nests with eggs of all kind of colors and shapes and sizes.
As I grew up kept visiting every single part of it and when I was a teenager I smoke my first cigarette and drank mi first shot of tequila and spent many nights with luna llena and at one point I felt like it was my property it was my refuge away from people an curas and teachers and controllers another world full of Little surprises.
Try it in a little canoe at midnight with the full moon all the way to the end of it, all by your self, probably not a good idea this days due to a the proliferation of crocodiles, bat in the old days was simple magical.
Never thought about it as a business, when you charge money for it, the magic is over, it became that, a just another business.
For me was a place to make friends, no money.
