Talked to Hugo Brambila today. He told me he remembers the hotel open and functioning in ab 1970. Then, there was a propane explosion that caved in the central part of the hotel in ab 1980. About 10 were reported to have died, he said, but actually there were many more. It closed down. Then, the earthquake of '95 further destroyed it.
