I may have posted this advice before but cannot remember, perhaps D removed it. I would advise spending extra cash and do not stay in a notel because they are a favorite hangout for lower level cartel guys or wannabes. There was a "zeta-style" killing at the place where I used to stay in Culiacan and I always thought that it was really nice, included a brass plated pole and round beds.

I would advise only to stay in AAA rated places in the entire state of Sinaloa and since you're from Tucson you oughta know this. It is not worth the extra risk to save a buck, and you want a parking garage that has 24hr. security..Don
