ride from airport

Hello travelers, residents, and anyone in between.

I have a question about transport options from the Manzanillo airport to Melaque or to my real destination - La Manzanilla. I know that a taxi is an option but I was wondering if there is another system, public or private, that would be more economical.

I suppose that once I'm in the Manzanillo airport I could ask people if they're headed in my direction and offer a payment. But I wonder if that might upset any one - a taxi driver for example who might not like that an otherwise paying customer is being taken.

Any idea, thought, suggestion, or advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
