Whales Singing in the Bay

Today I heard soooo many whales singing on my swim in the bay. I only had to get out beyond the breakers, float on my back with my ears under water. An amazing experience. There were soooo many songs, each one different. I don't know how it works. Does one whale have several different songs, depending on the msg being sent? Do babies sing differently than grown ones? Anyone have info on whale communication? I'd love to know. It was a symphony. And sooo loud. I kept turning to look to see if I could see them in the bay. They sounded nearby. If anyone would like to hear them and would like someone to show them how, etc, contact me and I'll be glad to go out with you. You don't have to go far out at all. I'll be listening every day. aaadams14@yahoo.com anne |
