hey, refer back to Jean's comment....putting an ATM...or even a money exchange in this town is only a target for more problems! The robbery at the tortillaria in broad daylight this November is a prime example of why you shouldn't have large sums of money in small towns with no true protection. Yes, ATM machines and money exchanges make things more convenient for everyone, but with the economy the way it is.....best to drive the 10 miles to Melaque and use their machines! Besides...isn't that charm of this town....that we don't offer all the ungodly conveniences that the rest of the world has? Do we have to Americanize EVERYTHING in Mexico (ie La Manzanilla)....just because that is what you are used to at home? If you want American, then vacation American, not here!!! |
