If anyone knows of a cat or dog that "can't wait" until March, there is a Vet named Marco Diaz working out of a trailer supplied by the State of Jalisco in Villa Obergon tomorrow(12/24/09) and Monday thru Thursday next week. The service is FREE. Marco worked with Cisco's Amigos clinic in Melaque this past November and admitted he learned a lot. He's a great guy and what a great effort by the government to provide this service. We hope he will be able to work with us in La Manzanilla in March. The trailer is located at the police station in Villa Obergon. If you need more info call me at 351-5164. Those of you In other small towns (Arroyo Seco, etc) should go talk to him. With a little arm twisting by the locals perhaps the government would send the trailer to your town. During the clinic in Melaque the head of the Central Salud was amazed at the number of animals that were being brought into our clinic (the trailer only does 2 animals/day we do 60+). "Spreading the word" by walking and talking was a new concept to him I'm afraid. Little by little.......... |
