Thank-you to everyone for your responses. My dog will be flying in the cabin with me as he is only 6 lbs. Wish me luck as I leave tomorrow with him into LA then Manzanillo. FYI for people who travel with their pets in the cabin and have a wait at any airport, the DOT mandated May 13th 2009 that there has to be potty break room for your pet at all airports. When I return to the US I will update this blog with my real life experience hopefully taking away some confusion, although as we know rules always subject to change. Again thank you for your kind responses.
