An update, around 36 hours after the bite:

I still have the numb feet, especially the toe that got stung - no feeling in that at all. My hands are quite tingly as well, like you slept on them and the circulation is just coming back, in a prickly way.

Still feels like I have hairs on the back of my tongue when I swallow, especially cold water. My teeth and mouth are still a little numb, and still that strange sour flavor. Symptoms seem to abate when I lie down, and come back a bit when I am up and moving.

At least the pain of the bite went away. Mexicans say I should still get to a doctor and get the anti-venom shot, but others have said it's really only useful within the first couple of hours after the sting.

I'm kind of going with the "wait and see" attitude. Not sure I want to add another chemical to the mix.... So far, the prickles and numbness are bearable.
