Bus from PV to Melaque

WE have friends taking the bus down from PV to Melaque in early Jan. They will be staying in the old town of PV, and wonder if the bus would stop there en route? Anyone know if it's an express that doesnt stop or if they might be able to board in old town PV? Thanks!
