So much information! As a tourist, I think I am adequately prepared but for the home owner, the German CO2 machine sounds like a good investment. If I lived in the community, I would definitely be looking into biological controls as a wide range solution. Seems that the dry eggs can last for up to a year. The problem with DDT is that it should not be used in conservation areas. The ecological damage is significant. Apparently the combination of CO2 and sucrose is very attractive to the little tigers. Also read that lactose is as bad as sucrose. Nobody mentions alcohol so maybe if you drink a few beers or Margueritas, you won't notice the skeeters;^) Thanks again, Diana |
