A few days ago I questioned someone who worked in the schools in Guadalajara regarding government support for our schools here in La Manzanilla. It was explained that the Federal government builds the schools. They then provide desk, fans and other needed "things" that make a school. They will continue to pay the teachers and someone to keep the schools clean but they walk away from any responsibility to maintain the school,replace fans or desks or any rebuilding. If an earthquake or other natural disaster destroys the school they will then rebuild it, but only then. Please support our schools with a donation. With so many out of work due to the economy it's hard for our neighbors and friends that have kids in these school to give much.
