The Canadian ex-tuna-fisherman (it is said) named Ray fishes every day during the day on the beach here. He usually uses a net to catch his bait (the same small fry that the big guys are there to eat), then he uses a rod and reel. His catches are often very big, like 5 to almost 10 kilos. He usually gives anything he catches away. I saw a black-suited policeman (not a Tourist Police guy) carrying about a 5-kilo fish from the beach today, and he hadn't been fishing. Must have been a gift from Ray. Link up with him and you'll be fishing with an expert. I believe that you can rent gear in Barra de Navidad but I don't know where or how much it costs. Shouldn't be hard to find. ¡Buena suerte! |
