Michael:

We are an authorized Collection facility for the plight of the Haitian people. I need you to advise all the foreigner's in your area that we need the following to send to Haiti.

Toilet tissue, diapers, medications, topical anesthetics, antibiotics, l liter bottles only of drinking water. Canned tuna in water. No canned beans, only dry beans and rice, sugar,
canned veggies, powdered milk. NO CLOTHES OR SHOES. We can accept clothes and shoes but it must be understood that we will use them for a Red Cross Bazaar because we are not permitted to send them to Haiti.

Any $$ contributions in cash or check must be made out at any BANCOMER. The deposit must be made out to CRUZ ROJA MEXICANA I.A.P. for the 683 Branch (Banca de Gobierno Palmas) under account number: 0404040406. YOU MUST STATE that your donation is for the Haiti Project. If a legal receipt is required apart from the deposit slip, it can be obtained thru us here at the Manzanillo, Colima Delegation of the Red Cross. Just bring it here and we will see that this is completed for the donar.

Our Delegation is open 24 hours a day to receive any merchandise that anyone wishes to drop off. We are located off the main highway De La Madrid on your way into Manzanillo where the auditorium Profesor Manuel Bonilla Valle is located. Turn left at the auditorium and an immediate right and you can see our facility. Everyone is welcome to visit. We record everything that is brought in and take names and numbers of all donars.

As you know I am the first person of American origin to have been appointed to the post of President of the Mexican Red Cross, anywhere in the Republic of Mexico. I am now at the end of my third year. Since I entered Manzanillo has been #1 in the Red Cross National Collection in the State of Colima. The Governor of Colima who appointed me asked me to remain last year because of my tireless work and results within both communities.

Am attaching a photo for your publication. Hope you can use it. This was taken downtown Manzanillo with a generous tourist visiting our area and one of my Damas Mrs. Magdalena Vasquez who assists me when I board the buses of the Passenger Ships to ask for help from my countrymen..
