..the problem this week seems to have been limited to the area above town. As was stated before, L.M.'s water table is low and the pumps are having trouble bringing it up from so far below ground. If one or more of the pumps are not working properly, the lower part of town gets water and the properties above get it when there's enough pressure to push it up the hill. It's definitely important to pay your water bill but the amount we pay is not nearly enough to keep the system running properly. The problems will continue until water usage is metered and users are charged for how much they actually use - gringos especially, with our washing machines, dishwashers, pools, etc., etc.
