This message is bizarre to me. LM's primary physician, Dra Franco seemed entirely reasonable and intelligent. She did not downplay the danger but did say to keep checking because things could get better. She said that while dengue is always present in the tropics, that the last few months it has been particularly rampant and that she would not recommend travel right now with a newborn, but it may get better. My inquiry is not, "will my babies survive the vacation," but rather, has the epidemic lessened to a more moderate level. Because information about LM is difficult to come by, the information posted by many residents on the message board has been helpful. To ask for an update with respect to mosquito spraying, lessening of cases, etc, seems putting this board to good use. I know there are no guarantees. I also know that 80 % of the local population contracting a disease is atypical, and a return to the baseline is desirable. My only request was for people to update as time progressed if they had further information about the progression of the disease, something that many residents have kindly been doing.

Te estas pasando, compadre.
