Traffic Laws for driving in Mexico.

I wanted to share a link here to a FREE guide that might be helpful to many people traveling in Mexico. It covers the driving laws and what the police can and cannot do. It lists the laws in Spanish and then has an English translation. It also goes into areas of emissions control laws, insurance, registration and who can drive your car. Also covered are if the police can take your license or documents or tow your car, among other things. It also has the official government complaint form to report wrongdoing by public servants.

The guide was written initially for the State of Jalisco but has been recently expanded to cover municipal driving laws in Puerto Vallarta as well as the federal driving laws. The information is a must have so you can be educated and not fall victim to crooked cops who try to extort money from you when many times paying the ticket would be much less.

Comments are appreciated and the information is updated so just bookmark the link and check back periodically for revisions and changes.
