How many people would be willing to contribute an annually-paid sum, and what amount, to get regular pickup service of the bins (each month at least, and probably twice/month during the gringo winter influx). I don't know what it would cost, but I think that our garbage collection heroes (they truly have my highest esteem) might be glad to do it for reasonable compensation. Maybe the ejido

As far as being an eyesore, it is only such when the bins are overflowing. If you want an eyesore, take a trip to "our" landfill. Surely no one wants to add more unsightly volumes to this wonderful place with a material that should be recycled ... better yet avoided for waste reduction reasons only, not to mention personal economics and health reasons, but that's an altogether different can o' worms.
