Yesterday and last night felt just like August - but not as hot. Overnight rain total was 1.88 inches - (and what a great electric show) - yesterday's total was .59/inch. It's still drizzling as I write this and the Barra weather report that's been so accurate calls for more rain today and into the early morning - without the thunderstorms. The only other rain we've seen in February was .06/inch in 2007 so this month will be one for the record books (our record books. anyway). If you're here to get some sun, this probably isn't a welcome change for you but think about how good it is for the jungle and it's inhabitants and take a look at that gorgeous green hill - you may never see it that green again during the winter. The wind and rain have just picked up again, so I'm going to refill my coffee cup and go back to my book. Cheers! |
