We have enjoyed staying at Casa de las Palomas. Its close to the main square of Tonala, which is lovely in the evening, when all the vendors clear out and the town returns to its quiet family-oriented roots.

There is a roof deck with a great view all around, internet, and indoor courtyard parking, all for around 40 bucks a night. Nothing fancy but clean and friendly.
