We cordially invite you to our 6th annual… “A Night under the Stars” Auction & Party Fundraiser WHEN: Saturday, February 27th, 2010 WHERE: La Manzanilla’s Main Plaza COST: 60 Pesos for adults & kids under 12 enter free when accompanied by a parent. (Includes a delicious Mexican dinner, tamales, pozole, taquitos, and more made by local Mexican families. First drink free!) AGENDA: 6 pm - Event begins, silent auction opens, dinner served 6:30-8:00pm - Live entertainment, folkloric dancing performances, fun bilingual M.C.’s (Lora Loka & Maestra Claudia), treats for kids! 8:00pm Raffle drawing for Netbook computer & other items. Buy raffle ticket for you or sponsor a ticket for a Mexican child. (Tickets can be purchased at the entry table prior to auction drawing.) 8-9pm - Live music with Pablo, Scotty and other local talent 9:30pm - Silent auction closes, winners pick up their prizes. Proceeds go to support educational programs & projects in La Manzanilla (25% to the La Manzanilla public schools; 25% to La Catalina Educational Foundation to administer their free educational programs; & 50% to the construction of the Costa Alegre Educational Center.) Donations welcome on the day of the auction. Drop items off in the “jardin” with Julie, Liz or Isaura between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. We accept any new or used item, art, and services (we can create a gift certificate for you). Also, volunteer help is always needed. Take part in this fun, bicultural/bilingual event setting up decorations, serving food and drinks, collecting admission, selling items, assisting with the silent auction, and more.
