We spent a little time squashing the bottles and putting their lids back on, so they couldn't fill with mosquito-breeding water, and so that they would take up less room in the receptacles. I would help at a bottle squashing event if we have one the next time they get full to overflowing...or... is there anyone around who would sponsor buying a chipper that might do both plastic when it is needed, and branches when there are lots of prunings around. It's really too bad to see all that valuable mulching material just get dumped.
