News Flash: Educational Center Garden Goes in Today!

The kid’s who use the Educational Center behind the kinder are excited to help plant seeds in their new garden, which the Great Basin Institute volunteers from Nevada have been setting up this past week. It is a 4m x 7m garden, which will include native plants and some herbs and veggies which the kids can grow. The garden will be tended by the children who attend the afterschool programs at the Center and other volunteers, and will be used to facilitate teaching some environmental topics as part of the existing art and English programs held there. The garden bed should be ready by this afternoon and the planting time is scheduled for 3pm today. Please stop by and take a look! Special thanks to Jerry & the Great Basin Institute, Dean Klompas and the kids of La Manzanilla for making this happen!
