So, the 2 dogs mentioned in need of amputations have both had them done and are doing excellent. Rocio did a great job and her love and attention gave them the extra support they needed. Fifi is back home at her new owners at the tire shop and Pequena will be going home in a day or 2. Their futures are very bright. With the bad leg removed their good side becomes very strong and are running around like crazy on 3 legs. Thanks to the human out there that has covered the cost of Fifi's operation. Pequena's costs are promised. The distemper outbreak seems to have abated. Cisco's Amigos vaccinated 100 dogs for free at the cost of $5200 pesos. Every year around this time distemper kills a lot of dogs. Thanks to the central salud we were able to vaccinate over 200 dogs and cats with free rabies vaccines. Thanks to Pam all of those shots were given. Thank you PAM!!! Cisco's Amigos clinic is on the calendar for November 19th - 23rd in Melaque/San Patricio and La Manzanilla 4th- 8th of March 2011. |
