Hey D, you just gotta take a trip back to real world. Arizona did what they did because of the cartels and the gangs. I am sure that it was a hard decision to come to. Arizona and our economy depends on cheap undocumented labor, no social security payments to the chili-pickers in Hatch and Demming, N.M. I don't even know what's going to happen to the price of green chili when there's nobody left to pick the crops. This is New Mexico's only economy besides getting payments for the missle range and tourism.

My point to you was that reporters on both sides of the border in El Paso, Las Cruces, Colombus, Palomas, Douglas and Nogales are scared shitless, they report getting threats on unlisted phones in the middle of the night. The Mexican army and the cartels are in a power struggle for the borderlands. Some of the local colonels want in on the drug trade, a fact.

Now recruitment is a big deal, Zeta has signs out on the streets for enlisting ex-policia and army, if you can shoot pretty straight without asking why, they want you,

Car jackings are not for any profit, they're for machismo, just like being a made-guy in the mafia, If you show up with a present for the local cartel jefe, you get approval and into the cartel which is a real living compared to stealing cars. That's what this is all about.

Cars that are ripped off in your area are stripped for parts, not for glory, Up in Sinaloa and Chichuahua it's for the glory to get you and your amigos into the gang. I have seen guys that I am sure are packing, cross the border back into Mexico at Juarez in big black SUV and the Mexican immigration just waves them on....they sure don't want to get shot. hey I'm not paranoid just cautious. bink
