This has been one of the most intelligent and helpful threads I've ever seen on a web board. I had been a major proponent of the Columbia bridge for years. I wouldn't go that way any more. The odds of anything happening are minuscule, but real and maybe escalating. Of course, they aren't targeting tourists nor expats, just certain vehicles. Nonetheless, I can't read minds, so the next trip North this July, the car will be La Manz polvo filthy. And we will drive through a city instead of a remote (more convenient) alternative like the Columbia bridge.
