I am the guy who was quoted 8000 pesos on Wednesday. I have used the guy in Colima for a few years now and he is pretty good. Fixes my hearing aids with no problem. This time he could not as it fried itself. The quote was for a in the ear but visible hearing aid. I paid %550 USD for the same hearing aids in the states in 2003. The price of 8000 seems to be pretty good to me.

He has some for less money and some for more money. The cheapest is a over the ear for about 5500 pesos.

The main thing in my opinion you should think about when buying hearing aids is can it be fixed anywhere. Some of the small ones are difficult to find someone to repair them. Remember that hearing aids last about 5-8 years and then must be replaced. Now I have one that has lasted 12 years but if it breaks there is no one in Mexico that can fix it.

The guy at KCS in Ajijic Works out of his home in Guadalajara and is at the LCS a few times a week. I have used him also and he sells them for about the same price. He quoted me a price of 6000 pesos in 2004 as mine had broke but he fixed it.

PM me if you have questions.
