There was a bar closing in Yalapa that had been open for years, it was at the suggestion
of J (should have known what was coming up...but didn't).
This photo is of Richard and I taking a pee break on the ride up...
It is the only photo I have of that trip..does this tell you anything about
how the rest of it went? Fun time.
We arrived by boat....didn't jump off like Mex D but did land on a magical beach...
full of mystery and newness. People para gliding from the cliff's... to the beach,
hanging in mid air, as if gravity did not exist....wow.
I remember going over to someone who just landed and telling them that
I wanted to do that...more than anything....neat day...
Later in the evening, I remember people using drugs... they were prevalent there.
Girls shooting something in their arm in the men's restroom....
The photo plankton (phosphorescence) on the beach was over the top magical,
everywhere you stepped it lit up with stars, like you were in heaven.
Out in the water.. move your hand and you created a stream of stars....
take a pee and your a god creating a universe.
Dancing with Jane on the beach...the sand lit up with every step...it reminded me of
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers..its like heaven.
Thinking about it now it seems like it happened yesterday. It is one of
the three nights I have spent out of La Manzanilla in the past ten years.
If your going to leave La Manzanilla for a night, I recommend Yalapa highly..
in every sense of the word.
