we were approached 2 years ago here in Melaque, but it was just an agreement we signed, stating that we wanted the street paved. Our Mexican neighbor is a retired lawyer and said this was legit. The fee is based on the width of the property, our portion came out to something like 4200p and can be paid in installments. Our neighbor on the corner really groaned, because he has 2 street sections he has to pay for! So far, we have not been presented with a payment request and the street has not been paved. Guess I'll follow up with the neighbor and see what the hold up is on the paving!
