As summer is just around the corner, we wanted to let those of you who are in La Manzanilla, or those of you who are researching summer travel to our area, know about opportunities to learn or improve your Spanish… Spanish Teen Program Dates: June 19th – August 15th, 2010 This is program for teens ages 14-18, held for the 5th consecutive summer, where students from the U.S. and Canada come to La Manzanilla for one to eight weeks. They participate in Spanish classes, volunteer work, homestays with Mexican families, excursions, activities with the local Mexican teens and more. Partial programs are also available for teens, such as classes only. For more info, click on this link: www.lacatalinaschool.com/spanish-immersion-mexico/summer-program-teens.htm Spanish for Educators Program Dates: July 11th – 25th, 2010 Our NEW Spanish for Educators summer program is specifically designed for educators, faculty, staff, administrators, and education students of all disciplines from the U.S., Canada, who work or plan to work closely with Spanish-speaking students and parents. Participants will stay at the beautiful Sea Fever Villa in La Manzanilla, attend Spanish immersion classes and a Spanish for Educators course, have exchanges with the local Mexican teachers, take excursions, and more.
