Most of the Mexican Nationals living in Albuquerque or Santa Fe have come from Juarez or somewhere in Chihuahua state and are really scared for their parents or brother and sisters still there.

Even Casa Grandes and Mata Ortiz where all the potters that Mary Jo and others have praised their detail work have suffered as the cartels have killed innocent villagers in the daily course of establishing new drug routes into New Mexico.

We have few resources compared to Texas for border enforcement.

Pablo Acosta the famous drug lord of the Big Bend, Tx area was actually born in New Mexico and his father smuggled drugs into the US as far back as the 1940's so there is a long established drug smuggling and gang overlord.. tradition in the southwest on both sides of the border. Now in the US it is starting to get worse too! The NPR article was right on!! bink
