D-you're livin under a "false sense of security" Albuquerque, NM used to be the car theft capital of the USA up till last year. Here's what I learned. The $$ pricy lock that you hook to your steering wheel doesn't work for a pro, They bring a little saw sometimes even a battery powered saw like my Makita (which is used to plunge saw AC/heating vents in wood floors) and zip right thru your plastic steering wheel. You don't realize that there is only like 1 or 2 metal rings no thicker than an eighth in, covered in plastic that makes up your steering wheel. You see this when a car is torched and the steering wheel is melted down to this skimpy ring. Most folks who recover their car/truck in ABQ find that the steering wheel has been sawed thru and the lock removed.

A better solution is to bolt-on with mag wheel lock bolts, a wheel boot that prevents your car from moving-rolling and also use an ignition lock that prevents juice from getting to the starter motor and to the coil or just jerk out your coil wire every nite. bink

What a lot of trouble to protect a 4 wheel piece of crap that you don't really need.
