driving at night

Is it fine or safe to drive from PV to La Manz. in the evening? We're picking up the car at PVR at 6 pm so we'll get there by about 9.
What time does it get dark?
I've done the drive several times and know how to get there well. (Yes I know, it's always straight).
The car will be neither a large fancy truck or an old piece of crap, rather a Ford Focus or similar.
