I think that is true, but something else is happening, kind of in the background. These things are being discussed openly. It's hard for me to formulate this thought, but when something is discussed, brought out from the shadows, it no longer has the power. It is compared to other reality's and situations and dealt with on that level. So in a sense it is bad for tourism, but once digested its just another reality. Much like the reality in places in the US, or Canada or any other location in the world. I think that is one of the values of communication, it constantly breaks the mold and allows another reality to surface. Like it was only a reality because it was not discussed. Luckily human's are quite good at adapting. |
